Camps

Our Chess and Board Game Camps are offered throughout the summer at many of the Richmond area private schools and Parks and Recs. Please check back as we update our summer camp list for 2021.

Current 2021 Chess Camp Offerings:

  • Chesterfield County Parks and Rec(Bon Air)
    • Tuesdays from May 12 – June 16, 2021
    • 10:00 am – 11:00 am
    • For ages 50+

  • Goochland Parks and Rec
    • Tuesdays from June 10 – July 29, 2021
    • 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
    • Rising grades 2nd – 6th

Steward School:  (11600 Gayton Road, Richmond)
Chess RVA teaches boys and girls how to play chess and become better players. Playing chess helps kids think more clearly and improves math and reading skills. Classes include both instruction and supervised play. Chess RVA offers all the tools you will need to introduce chess to beginners or guide the more experienced player toward more competitive play. Other board games such as Backgammon, Blokus, Mancala, Q-bitz, and Set will be used to help expand the strategic mind.
